  • Michael R. Phelps

    Michael R. Phelps, Owner/Funeral Director

    A native of Winchester, Michael is a Virginia Certified Funeral Service Professional and has been serving families of Winchester and the surrounding communities, for over 40 years. After graduating from mortuary college in the mid 1980s, he received his practical training at the Pumphrey Funeral Home in Bethesda, MD.Michael establishes the high standards by which Phelps Funeral & Cremation Service operates and oversees all of its operations. He is a lifetime member of Christ Episcopal Church and is an avid car collector and preservationist. He enjoys spending time with his Welsh Corgis, cooking and entertaining.

  • Travis L. Nesselrodt

    Travis L. Nesselrodt, Manager/Funeral Director

    Travis was born in Winchester and has deep roots in the community. His grandfather Ernie founded Polly’s Cab. His mother, Patsy Simpson, owned Thumper’s Daylily Farm in Frederick County. He grew up in Strasburg but graduated from James Wood High School. After college, he returned to Winchester to teach in Frederick County Public Schools. He got the call to funeral service ten years ago and is now the manager for the funeral home.In his spare time he enjoys table tennis, yoga, cooking, and spending time with his family.

  • Kelye Phelps Winters

    Kelye Phelps Winters, Office Manager/Administrative Assistant

    Kelye is a 1987 graduate of John Handley High School. She attended Lord Fairfax Community College, where she earned an Associate’s Degree in Accounting. She brings over 30 years of experience as a logistics, customer service, and office professional. Kelye and her husband, John have a son, Garrett and are longtime Frederick County residents. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and spending time with extended family. She loves to travel, which often involves the beach, boating, and fishing.

  • Will Sigler

    Will Sigler, Associate/Funeral Assistant

    Will moved to the Winchester area in 1994 after graduating from West Virginia Wesleyan College. He and his wife, Rebecca have two wonderful children. His passion for service began in fire and rescue in 2000. As a local firefighter, Will worked in both Frederick County and Winchester City Fire Stations. After his retirement, Will decided to join the Phelps Team where he could continue to serve others. He is the Varsity Swimming Coach at Millbrook High School. In his free time he enjoys boating and saltwater fishing.

  • Mike Huck

    Mike Huck, Associate/Funeral Assistant

    After graduating from Radford University, Mike, his wife Amy have made Winchester their home for the last 20 years. They have three children. Mike or "Huck" as he likes to be called is driven by his commitment to be involved in the community. He is a volunteer firefighter and continues to be involved in Millwood Fire Station. In his spare time he enjoys traveling with his family and officiating basketball.

  • Kimberley Vanscoy Oliveto

    Kimberley Vanscoy Oliveto, Funeral/Office Associate

    Kim is a 1984 graduate of John Handley High School. She is also a 1990 graduate of Winchester Medical Center School of Surgical Technologist; a 2018 graduate of Lord Fairfax Community College; and has attended classes at Shenandoah University in their history department.Kim brings over thirty years of professional experience to the funeral home. She is a longtime resident of Winchester. She has two sons, Cody and Logan Glass; and two darling grandchildren, Abigail and William.In her free time, she enjoys cross-stitching, crafting, reading and traveling to historical places.
