The Phelps AccuSure Cremation Guarantee

Peace of Mind with Simple Elegance and Quiet Dignity

We have created the Phelps AccuSure Cremation Guarantee to give you peace of mind. It is our pledge to you that we will treat your loved one with the highest ethical standards, dignity and decorum.  We vow to perform the cremation arrangements and process with an exclusive 11-step cremation process.

1. Staff Training

We pride ourselves on the team of associates we have assembled to meet your every need.  Beginning with the transfer from the place of death, our associates treat your loved one, like a member of Our Family.

2. Personal Identity Protections

To ensure security, a personal identification band is placed on your loved one the moment we bring your loved one into our care.

3. Proprietary Tracking System

Upon arrival in our funeral home,  your loved one’s information is logged. That information is used to track every phase of the cremation from beginning to end.  Prior to cremation they are assigned an identification number, which is stamped on a stainless steel identification tag that remains with them throughout the cremation process.

4. Family Identification Options

Depending on the arrangements you select, you will identify your loved one in person or through a photo.

5.  Systematic Checks and Balances

Two Phelps associates,  review all cremation paperwork and permits to ensure authorizations and permits have been received and have been properly documented. Once all documentation is verified, both staff members must sign the cremation log prior to the cremation.

6. Cremation Container Notations

After our associates have confirmed the identity, all necessary personal information is recorded on the outside of the cremation container you have selected.

7. Certified Cremation Log Book

Immediately prior to the cremation process, the deceased is taken to the cremation chamber and their personal identification is noted in a cremation log book. This log shows the name of the individual, date and time of the cremation, identification number and crematory operator’s name. Our crematory log is dated and the start time is noted and initialed by a cremation technician before and after the cremation.

8.   Standard Cremation Protocols

All cremations are completed by a licensed technician in a licensed and EPA-approved facility. The deceased is cremated in an approved cremation container, and the cremation process is monitored from start to finish for quality assurance. The crematory checklist and identification card are placed on the outside of the cremation chamber during the cremation process, while the stainless steel identification tag remains inside the cremation chamber.

9.  Care After the Cremation

The cremated remains are placed with the stainless steel identification tag into the urn or urns you have selected.

10. The Final Step-Returning Cremated Remains

Our staff will notify you as soon as the urn and death certificates are ready.  You may then come in at your convenience for completion of our services.  If for some reason you cannot come to the funeral home we will hand deliver the urn to you, or for great distances mail the urn by certified mail.

11. Visitation, Funeral or Celebration of Life

We will assist you in planning any kind of service that would commemorate your loved one, either before or after the cremation.   Meaningful ceremonies provide your friends and family the opportunity to pay tribute to and share memories of a life well lived.
