Linda Kathleen Teubner

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Linda Kathleen Teubner. Loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend on Friday, August 12th 2022 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Linda passed peacefully with her husband and daughter, Jennifer by her side. She was born in Queens, New York City, daughter of Catherine Vierling. She was predeceased by her brother, Lawrence Vierling and sister Claire Nicita. As a young women, she was proudly, part of a large Irish Catholic family, being one of 27 grandchildren. She often spoke very fondly of her family, reminiscing of family gatherings, especially in Lake Carmel, New York. After moving to New Jersey to raise her family, Linda attended Morris County Community College. Linda was a very hard working homemaker, baker, caregiver and master gardener. Her hobbies included gardening, jewelry making, painting, spending time with her family and friends, taking long walks, spending summers in Maine and congregating with her church family. She was a passionate master gardener and loved wild flowers. She frequently entered her paintings and floral arrangements into the Sussex County NJ Fair.. Her volunteer works included, Andover Nursing Home, and Sunday morning nursery care at Lafayette Federal Church in NJ. We are forever thankful for mom’s delicious cookie, cake and pie recipes, which are still a tradition in our families today. Linda is the beloved wife of Paul Teubner. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her adoring children, Christine (Dr. Joseph Mavec) her son, Robert Sponza, and youngest daughter, Jennifer (Bryce Bostrom). Also, survived by her dear sister, Maureen Stacey (Edward), sister in law, Diana Vierling and brother in law, Vincent Nicita. In addition to 7 grandchildren, 2 nephews and 5 nieces. In celebration of her life, family and friends will gather 1-3pm on Saturday, August 27th at Phelps Funeral Home, 311 Hope Drive, Winchester, VA. Service to follow at 3pm. Repast after service for immediate family. Inurnment will take place in the Bronx in New York City at a later date.
