Paul Easton Jones

April 27, 1948 - January 5, 2015

Paul Easton Jones, 66, of Front Royal, died Monday morning, January 5th, 2015 in the America House (Amerisist) Assisted Living Residence in Front Royal. He was born on April 27, 1948 in Schenectady, New York, the son of Paul and Elizabeth Barney Jones. Paul was a life-long learner. He received his bachelor’s degree from George Washington University and a dual Master’s degree from Wesley Theological Seminary and American University. He was an avid golfer and gardener and collector of semi-precious stones. Professionally, he was a corporate manager for AT&T and IBM. His varied career also included work in the field of health foods as well as time spent as a community living supervisor for mentally challenged adults. As a consummate astrologer, Paul predicted, ten years in advance of the occurrence, the collapse of the former Soviet Union. He could also always be relied upon for an accurate daily weather and astrological forecast. He was a very compassionate, generous and caring person as evidenced by the many friends he leaves behind. Surviving, among others, are his friends: Betsy Davis of Virginia Beach, VA; Karen Fall of Front Royal, VA; Laurel Gilbert of Baltimore, MD; and Daniel Kenner of Forestville, CA. His parents are deceased. A private memorial dinner will be planned at a later date to celebrate Paul’s life. Arrangements are by Phelps Funeral & Cremation Service, Winchester.
