Nina Glynn “Peachy” Smoke, 93, of Winchester, died Wednesday, August 15, 2018 in Winchester. She was born January 11, 1925 in Frederick County, VA, the daughter of Paul P. and Hazel Richard Glynn. Mrs. Smoke worked for the US Government’s Agency for International Development and for Project Hope in Millwood, VA. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she was very devoted to the Adoration Chapel. Surviving are three daughters, P. Isabelle Fitzwilliam and her husband James of Vienna, VA, Tempe Sue Simon of Winchester and Paulette M. Bowers and her husband Bobby of Winchester; six grandchildren, Todd Schalph, Jennifer Allison, Daniel Simon, Kaitlyn Bowers, Devin Bowers and Christine Bowers and six great-grandchildren. Three sisters, Jamesetta Hyer, Pauline Glynn and Hester Flegal and a brother, Harry Glynn are all deceased. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Winchester with Rev. Stephen Holmes officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Church Cemetery, Mt. Falls, VA. Friends will be received on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the Mass at the church. Arrangements are by Phelps Funeral & Cremation Service, Winchester.
