Emma Gean Newlin Kline, 86, of Winchester, died Tuesday, June 2, 2015 in Winchester Medical Center. She was born June 3, 1928 in Oakmont, WV the daughter of Theodore and Goldie Evans Newlin. She was a beloved mother and grandmother and recently made her home with her grandson Michael Anderson and great-grandson, Logan. Professionally, she worked for ABEX for 17 years. She is survived by her children, Bonnie J. Anderson and her husband Charlie of Frederick County, and Theodore “Tippy” Kline of Winchester; a sister, Leota Catherine Sine of Frederick County; seven grandchildren, thirty one great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and one special niece, Lisa Hottel. Her siblings, Isabelle Newlin, Emual “Buster” Newlin, Henry William Newlin, Charles Ray Newlin, Clyde “Tommy” Newlin, Robert “Bobby” Newlin, and grandchildren Jeff and Robin Kline are deceased. A funeral will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the Phelps Funeral Chapel, 311 Hope Drive Winchester officiated by Reverend Dr. Victor Gomez. Burial will follow the service at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Hayfield. Casket bearers will be Logan Anderson, Chester Renner, Tyler Renner, Phil Pugh, John Rotz, and Randy Brooks. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society 1833 Plaza Drive, Winchester, VA 22601. Friends will be received an hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
