Betty Lou Bradfield Kelchner, 86, of Winchester, died Monday, June 16, 2014 in Winchester Medical Center. She was born August 5, 1927 in Frederick County the daughter of Raymond F. and Viola Brewer Bradfield. She was married to Justin Crumble Kelchner who is deceased. Mrs. Kelchner received her registered nursing degree from Winchester Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1948 and retired from nursing after twenty-seven years with the hospital. She was a Lutheran. Surviving are her close friends, Doreen Buracker and her husband Michael and their children, Sierra and Erikka Buracker of Winchester; a step-daughter, Carrie Denise Ford of Winchester; a step-granddaughter, Melissa Ford and a step-great-grandson, Elijah Ford. A funeral service will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in St. John’s Lutheran Church, 3623 Back Mountain Road, Winchester. Burial will follow in Mt. Hebron Cemetery, Winchester.
