ABOUT US
Recognizing the need for quality, affordable funeral services in the Winchester/Frederick County area, Michael R. Phelps and Associates Funeral Directors was established September 1, 1998.
 The firm serves all of Winchester and Frederick County. Our facility offers a warm, homelike environment furnished with antiques and collectibles. Church, cemetery chapel and graveside services are, of course, also offered.
Michael R. Phelps, the owner/manager, has more than twenty-five years of service to local families. He is a Winchester native and a lifelong member of Christ Episcopal Church. He is also an avid antique car collector and preservationist; many of the cars from his personal collection are used for funeral services. Availability of some of the cars may depend on weather conditions or certain mechanical limitations.
Michael Phelps is assisted in the business by several other licensed funeral directors and assistants all of whom have many years of experience in client service and adhere to only the highest standards of quality.

Charities for Memorials
As of May 1, 2007, Michael R. Phelps and Associates began sending a memorial contribution to a local charity or house of worship of our client family’s choice following the funeral services for their loved one.
The funeral expenses do have to be paid in full before the contribution is sent.
This policy is consistent with our desire to give back to the community that we serve and we hope that our contribution will be of benefit to your organization.
